The following photos show popular door styles, but other styles can be created. If you have a style in mind that you do not see here, please let us know.
Door style, overlay style, hinge type, wood species, and finishes are all independent of each other. You can select what ever options you desire.
Flush Inset Cabinet Door Styles
Flush Inset: When the cabinet has a face frame and the door and drawer set inside the cabinet frame. Hinges may be concealed adjustable soft close , or barrel hinges that have the barrel of the hinge exposed. The tolerances between the door and frame are small. This is a highly sought after look for traditional style or historical preservation homes. Inset style is an icon of quality workmanship.

Contemporary Cabinet Door Styles
Contemporary Style: Contemporary door styles are usually sleek looking full overlay doors. Full overlay means that the door covers most of the cabinet behind it and adjacent doors and drawer edges nearly touch each other. Some contemporary designs are done on a framed cabinet and some are done on a frameless or full access cabinet box. Black Tie Cabinets can build either a framed cabinet box or a full access cabinet box. Framed boxes are much stronger boxes, but the choice is yours.
Some contemporary wooden veneered doors may have vertical or horizontal wood grain. On some wood species we can match vertical wood grains from the base cabinet up through the wall cabinet. Or on some species we can match the grain horizontally through a cabinet run. If you want matched wood grains, please let us know. If you do not request matching grained wood on veneered doors, the grains may not line up. Matching wood grains on veneered cabinets takes special attention to detail and premium wood veneer selection.
